Temporary Introduction
If I’ve introduced you to this site and you were kind enough to check it out, I wanted to post a quick introduction on how to get started. This will be replaced with more thorough walkthroughs and videos in due time!
For now, all you need to do is click LOGIN or ACCOUNT in the navigation bar above and create an account. (There’s no payment information required because this is free, of course.)
Then click into the DASHBOARD and click the CREATE PROJECT button. This loads the form where you can input everything you need to generate the Project page for a book/story and its Press Kit. You don’t need to fill out all of the information at once to create the Project (required fields are marked).
NOTE: New Projects require manual approval at this time to avoid abuse. I will approve any legitimate Project once I see it.
To edit your Project or post an update, scroll to the bottom of your Project page and either click the EDIT button or create your update post with the form.
You can also CREATE A SERIES with the button beside the Project creation button. This is similar to creating a project, but with fewer specifics in the form. At the end of the form is a selection box that will show you all of your current Projects, which you can highlight to add them to that Series.
That’s pretty much it for today. I’m working on new features daily, and expect to have a few criticals like the AUTHOR PAGE and Series Linking done shortly. You can also read the updates I’ve posted to the GenreDB Project to see some of the features and the roadmap.
